It’s amazing how much of mainstream media ran with this story. How could they possibly miss the most obvious megacap CEO supporting Trump? But the story itself defies logic. Few CEOs ever want to publicly endorse a candidate. It only alienates nearly half the country, whichever way you go, leading to boycotts, bad publicity, and potentially long-term damage to their brands. On top of that, if the party they supported doesn’t win, they face possible retaliation from the newly elected politicians. It was an easily debunked story from any rookie journalist, but that didn’t matter–anything that hurts Trump, just go with it. CNBC, the top “financial” channel, of course, ran the story. They have 5-10 Fortune 100 CEOs on their network every day. They could have got an answer from anyone of them in minutes. So, it’s not just shoddy journalism–it’s obvious deception.
These type of stories get propagated, though, since as soon as you get one mainstream source running them, then they simply echo each other enough times that a host of research now appears to lend an air of credibility. Any good researcher or journalist knows the difference between a primary source and a secondary source. A primary source is a direct item that isn’t distorted by someone else’s interpretation. For example, if CNBC had asked a significant sample of the 100 CEOs directly, their verbal answers would be credible primary source research. Secondary sources are based on someone else’s research & interpretation, so any articles that rely only on secondary sources can be fatally flawed if the original is wrong. But it doesn’t really matter when lies are echoed enough. It only gets worse when search engines like Google weigh credibility based on how many of their hand-picked mainstream sources mention the story.
These people are really shameless and so hopelessly corrupt. At least half the country has figured out their methods, though. It’s probably much higher, but most of the Left don’t care in the least what methods are used as long as Trump is destroyed and they get the one-party state they’re so desperate to build.
